The Rapture

Rapture Song - "It's Gonna Happen"

The Importance of Repentance and Baptism

Why is it today that you rarely hear preachers talk about repentance and baptism in Jesus name? They tell people to say the "sinner's prayer" which is not biblical (see:http://www.bible.ca/g-sinners-prayer.htm) and people falsely believe that they are saved. Remember now, that Jesus gave Peter the "Keys" to the kingdom and the statement below by Peter, was actually part of his very first sermon and was his response on the Day of Pentecost when asked "what shall we do to be saved?", by those who realized that they were responsible for putting Jesus to death on the cross, who had done NO wrong.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)
Peter knowing the name to use, was actually fulfilling the command at Matthew 28:19.

God has always been fair and just. I personally believe that while Lucifer was plotting against God, God gave him ample opportunity to cease what he was planning, but Lucifer flat out refused to stop and to turn away from his devious plan. Therefore, he and the angels that followed him, suffered the consequences, thus being cursed and kicked out of Heaven. ("I saw Satan fall like a lightning-flash out of Heaven.." Luke 10:18)

The one thing that Satan doesn't want a human being to do is REPENT, because he knows that God responds to repentance by filling a human being with the gift of the Holy Ghost, thereby giving one the power and ability to live a life free from sin. ("But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you..." Acts 1:8). Also, he certainly doesn't want anyone to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ because he knows, that is the only name under heaven, whos blood can wash away all sins previously committed by a human being. Fact is, if a person commits a sin after baptism, that name and blood are so powerful, that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Not saying that we should willfully sin, but repent and exercise the power that is given to us by the Holy Ghost.

If Satan can stop preachers today from preaching about the importance of repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, then he has done his job well.
